Barb’s interests in gemstones can be traced to her early childhood, as she and her siblings searched the hills and valleys for those special treasures to add to their collection. Barb’s interests in lapidary were influenced by her parents who “snow birded” to Arizona and enjoyed collecting and working with a variety of minerals and rocks. In her day job, Barb is a respected repairman in the electric power industry. She brings these skills and more to the lapidary bench as she designs, cuts and polishes gemstone cabochons.  She approaches each stone with a desire to reveal its hidden secrets and bring out its natural beauty.
