Now retired from a career in scientific research, Judy fulfills her curiosity and creative spirit by designing and creating wire-wrapped jewelry. The transition has been a re-discovery of her love of gemstones. For Judy, the keys to her designs are simplicity and grace. Using a variety of gemstone media and sterling silver and/or 14k gold filled wire, Judy seeks to create pieces that tell a story, perform a function or simply be beautiful for the wearer. Judy is a member of the International Guild of Wire Jewelry Artists and regularly attends classes, shows and presentations to maintain and improve her craft.
